From a fast Chevrolet to a very expensive bus, these are the most important numbers of the week.

Every week we pick out a few numbers that are so significant we have to give them a second look. Today we’re looking at key figures from Mercedes, Chevrolet, and more.

How many individual bulbs are in the optional Multibeam LED headlights on the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class. The luxury sedan is a little longer and a little wider than before, with the company’s latest "MBUX” infotainment system and lots of new driver-assistance technologies.

How many days passed between the Ford GT claiming a lap record and the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 breaking it. The record in question was for lap times set at Virginia International Raceway. Ford claimed a 2:38.62, but only a week later Chevy shared a video clip of its top-dog Corvette doing the deed in 2:37.25

The race bus used by Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello, revealed this week, is expected to achieve that figure, in dollars, when it goes to auction in France.

How many examples of the Ferrari 166 MM Spider were built. That rarity is, in part, why auction house RM Sotheby’s estimates one example could fetch as much as $5.6 million when it goes up for sale in a few weeks’ time.
